The Perfect Day Tours from Killington

Day One

5:00 PM  Arrive
at the Cascades Lodge  to a warm welcome from our hosts, a glass of wine and local cheese platter. Killington Gondola, Killington Peak, VermontOur travelers have a little time to stretch their legs, freshen up, and enjoy a little conversation in the pub, before dinner.

6:00 PM Dinner is served in the spacious and comfortable dining room, offering a gorgeous view of the Green Mountains rolling to the North. Dinner is a three course meal with entrée choices, coffee, tea and dessert.

After dinner, with no particular entertainment planned for the first night, we are free to relax in the comfy lounge, on a cool night, a roaring fire, a glass of brandy, and a game of pool will keep the conversation going late. Cards, board games and a giant screen TV are available in the lounge.

Day Two

6:30-8:15 AM Early morning coffee
, and a piping hot buffet breakfast awakens the travelers to a full day in Vermont.Calvin Coolidge Homestead

9:00 AM [Calvin Coolidge Homestead]
We board the coach and begin our journey eastward to the homestead of Calvin Coolidge, considered the best preserved presidential birthplace in the nation. 1.5—2 hours.

11:00 AM [Billings Farm and Museum]
We are travelling further east to visit Billings Farm and Museum, just outside of Woodstock Village. Billings Farm Museum, Woodstock Vermont

2 hours include a picnic lunch and  touring the finest Jersey dairy farms, telling the whole story of Vermont’s rural past. Engaging exhibits housed in 19th century barns depict the annual cycle of rural life and work, as well as the cultural values of Vermont farm families a century ago.  http://www.billingsfarm.org/billings_farm/index.html.

1:30 PM [Quechee Gorge]
We head over to Vermont’s “Little Grand Canyon” formed a little over 13,000 years ago, during the last ice age. Beautiful vistas, a little Quechee Gorge, Vermontwalk or hike overlooking the falls. Then wander over to the Quechee Gorge Village, a real Vermont Sampler. Non stop Cabot Cheese samples, hand made crafts, homemade fudge, watch the blacksmith at his forge, visit the Vermont Toy and Train Museum and the Vermont Antique Mall.

4:00 PM [Killington Gondola Ride]
We arrive at the Base Station  of Killington’s K-1 Gondola, for a scenic Gondola ride to Killington Peak. The views are stunning all summer long. On a clear day you can see 5 states and Canada!

5:30 PM Return to the Cascades Lodge, our home for today.

6:30 PM Dinner at the lodge

8:00 PM Entertainment available to be booked.
